Material of PE Ball Valves
PE ball valves are indeed plastic products, with polyethylene (PE) as their main material. This material has good flexibility and chemical stability, making it particularly suitable for low-pressure applications such as water supply and irrigation at normal temperatures. Polyethylene comes in two types: high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and low-density polyethylene (LDPE), with valves typically using the more robust high-density polyethylene.
Plastic Properties of PPR Ball Valves
PPR ball valves are also plastic products, made of random copolymer polypropylene (PP-R). This material has excellent heat resistance, capable of withstanding hot water temperatures below 90℃, making it an ideal choice for HVAC systems. PPR materials are joined via heat fusion to form a seamless piping system, effectively reducing the risk of leakage.
