The electrofusion coupler is a straight-through fitting designed for connecting polyethylene (PE) pipes of the same diameter. Also known as an electrofusion socket or electrofusion sleeve, it is widely used in HDPE piping systems for gas distribution, water supply, wastewater treatment, mining, chemical processing, and agricultural irrigation applications.

Manufactured from high-quality HDPE material, the fitting is produced through precision injection molding technology to ensure excellent dimensional accuracy and long-term durability. Inside the coupler, nickel-chromium heating wires are embedded into the inner wall, while external terminal connectors are designed for connection with an electrofusion welding machine.

During installation, electrical current passes through the embedded resistance wire, generating heat that simultaneously melts both the inner surface of the coupler and the outer surface of the PE pipe. Once cooled, the materials fuse together at the molecular level, forming a permanent, leak-free, and high-strength joint.
